The Grants Division will work with Orange County Departments to secure competitive funding from state and federal sources for new programs and services that will benefit Orange County residents; and to provide post-award oversight for existing, grant awards to ensure that Orange County maintains positive relationships with funding agencies and continues to be in a competitive position to apply for future grant funding.

WHAT WE DO

Search for Grant Opportunities at the Federal, State and Local levels.

Distribute grant opportunities to the appropriate county departments.

Assist county departments in the development of competitive grant programs and applications with different levels of application involvement dependent on department need.

Work across a broad spectrum of subjects and disciplines to identify and encourage collaboration between departments, non-governmental organizations and our 42 home-rule municipal partners for projects identified as county priorities.

Encourage partnerships between separate and individual organizations to strengthen grant applications and programs and services within our communities.

Provide post-award grant monitoring for active grants received by county departments through analysis of quarterly tracking reports.

Provide technical assistance regarding grant development and grant management issues, including compliance with request for proposal guidelines, and federal and state funding regulations.

Maintain a municipal email list and distribute appropriate grant opportunities to local municipalities.

Conduct trainings on grant development, program design/evaluation and stakeholder engagement for county departments, municipal staff, elected officials and community organizations, as time permits.
