07-28-10 The 2010 Amy Bull Crist Memorial Laides Golf Open

Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana and Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commissioner Richard L. Rose Jr. are pleased to announce that the annual Amy Bull Crist Memorial Ladies Golf Open will be held at Stony Ford Golf Course, Thomas Bull Memorial Park, in Montgomery on Thursday, August 19, 2010, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Long-time tournament sponsor, Johnston’s Toyota and owner, John Jardine, will offer special hole-in-one prizes on all par threes including a 2010 Toyota to any player who aces the 173 yard, 17th hole.

First, second and third place finishers in gross, net and team best ball divisions will receive golf merchandise prizes courtesy of the Stony Ford Pro Shop.  Trophy cups will be awarded to gross and net individual champions.

The $72 entry fee includes green fee, golf cart, all prizes and giveaways, continental breakfast, refreshments on the turn and awards banquet.

The tournament was a personal favorite of Mrs. Crist, “The First Lady of Orange County,” who presided over the festivities each year with her unique blend of charm, humor and wisdom.
